Not making dua when faced with a problem

Q: If someone got a problem and instead of making dua to Allah he tries other ways to come out of it. Is this low iman or kufr. (He is not making dua because he thinks that maybe Allah will not fulfill his duaa.) E.g. A financial problem came to him. He starts asking people for money. He doesn't make dua for the same reason above. Is it kufr or low iman?

A: No, it is not kufr. However, it is a sign of ignorance and stupidity not to continue with dua.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
